If you're experiencing issues with your device's camera zoom feature, there are some quick and easy steps you can take to solve the problem.
1. Force your apps to close
iOS devices:
- For iPhone with Face ID:
- From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom and stop when you reach the middle of the screen.
- Swipe left or right to find the app(s) you want to close.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
- For iPhone without Face ID:
- Double-click the Home button to see your recently used apps.
- Swipe left or right to find the app(s) you want to close.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
Android devices:
- Swipe up from the bottom of your screen, hold, and let go.
- Swipe from left to right.
- On the left, click “Clear all”.
2. Update your software
iOS devices:
- Back up your device with iCloud or on your computer.
- Plug your device into a power source and make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi.
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
- You may see two software updates, pick the one you want to install. Note: with iOS 15, the camera zoom issue has been resolved outside of Japan and South Korea.
Android devices:
- Go to Settings > System > System update.
- You’ll be able to see your update status — follow the steps that appear on the screen.
